This notice explains how Ana Monroe collects and uses personal information through this portfolio website. Ana Monroe is the data controller for the information described below. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to hello@amonroe.co.uk.
Information collected
If you use the contact form or email directly, the information collected may include your name, email address, subject, message, and any other details you choose to provide. The hosting provider may also process limited technical information, such as IP address, browser details, and security logs, to deliver and protect the website.
Why the information is used
Contact details and messages are used to respond to enquiries about artwork, exhibitions, commissions, or press. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, where relevant, and otherwise the legitimate interest in responding to genuine enquiries. Technical information is processed for the legitimate interest of operating and securing the website.
Who processes the information
The website is hosted by Netlify, which also processes contact-form submissions on Ana Monroe’s behalf. Google Fonts is used to provide the site’s typography; when a page loads, your browser requests font files from Google and shares connection information such as your IP address. Personal information is not sold and is not used for automated decision-making or profiling.
These service providers may process information outside the UK or European Economic Area under their applicable contractual and legal transfer safeguards. Their own notices provide more detail: Netlify privacy statement and Google privacy policy.
How long information is kept
Enquiry information is normally kept for no longer than 24 months after the enquiry is resolved. It may be kept longer when needed to maintain an ongoing client relationship, complete a transaction, resolve a dispute, or meet a legal or accounting obligation. Information that is no longer needed is deleted.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:
- request access to your personal information;
- ask for inaccurate information to be corrected;
- ask for information to be erased or its use restricted;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests; and
- receive information you provided in a portable format.
To exercise a right, email hello@amonroe.co.uk. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data-protection regulator.
